Sumit Kumar Manav was born in a small town called Baghpat in Northern India and his quest for Yoga took him to the Himalayas, home of pure yoga. It was during this journey that he discovered the science of yoga, a way to human consciousness and overall well-being.
Sumit has been a student of Yoga at some of the best Yoga institutes, predominantly the much-acclaimed Bharatiya Vidya Bhawan in New Delhi, and later Nagpur, in western India, where he graduated in Yoga and Sports Sciences. Yearning for more knowledge and his mother’s guidance took him to Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya in the Himalayas, by far, one of the best traditional Yoga schools. He completed his Post Graduation in Yoga and human consciousness here. He also trained under BKS Iyengar in Pune, he learnt and practiced Iyengar Yoga and Osho dynamic meditations for the next two years.
